Dear Carol and Dale,

Congratulations on reaching your 50th. Not too many people reach that Nowadays.

This reminds me of when we celebrated one of your anniversaries when we were all at Colleen’s and Carol made the comment, “We could do this more often” Well, you certainly have since then.

I’m sure you are happy to be celebrating with your family and we wish we could be there too. But we are not doing the traveling thing anymore. Just getting too old for that. And Jim needs to be near his doctors with all he’s been through.

Enjoy your day, and we’re happy for you two. Sorry I had to leave the last time you called on the phone due to the kids, Pat and Dan being here and must getting ready to leave. But we’re glad we have one of our kids near us to drop in once in awhile.

Dear Dale & Carol,

Sounds like you are having a fun celebration with your family, that's super.  We looked at pictures recently of when we celebrated your anniversary at our house when you were visiting back here, that doesn't seem like too long ago!  We always had a good time when you guys came back to visit, also when we came to your home a long time ago and when we got together at Lake Tahoe 

I remember when you came to Arcadia shortly after you were married, I had just graduated from high school there shortly before you came.  Can that be 50 years ago?

We are by Cheryl's in Montana, tomorrow we go to see Lindsay at state track meet in Helena, her relay team qualified for state, but it's supposed to be rainy and cold tomorrow.  Then Sunday is her graduation.

We just looked at this wonderful slideshow and were so happy to get a new look at the different aspects of your family. We see your family has been an animal lover from the very beginning.

Dudley and I send our congratulations and best wishes to you both as you celebrate this special day with your family. We are glad we have gotten to know you a bit via way of your daughter Diane and been able to see you from time to time. Dudley and I are your age and soon we will be having our 46th anniversary. Even with various serious health problems we are looking forward to being able to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary in the year 2010.....Unless the Lord comes before that time --- and that would be the best celebration of all.

Dear Mom & Dad,

Happy 50th Wedding Anniversary! I'm so happy that we were all able to share this special day with you both. Also, that it was marked with a the celebration that 50 years of marriage deserves!! WOW, that's a long time! Lots of good memories in there. Dave and I just celebrated our 20th anniversary this month. I guess we've got a long way to go. God willing, we'll make to our 50th too!

I'm so happy you'll be having one of our "Golden" Retriever puppies to raise and love. It only seems right, huh?
